Financial Controller (Hong Kong and China)
We are looking for an experienced senior finance professional to work closely with the Williams Hong Kong MD and senior management team in Hong Kong and China.
Role and Responsibilities
• Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent• Lead the finance and IT teams in HK and China ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all operations• Develop and present insightful financial reporting to highlight key areas of focus, identify opportunities, and drive improved business performance• Prepare and present monthly management accounts, quarterly updates reforecasts and annual budget plans to strict Group reporting deadlines• Challenge and optimize expenditure across the business, ensuring value for money and minimizing waste• Monitor cash flow, manage key banking relationships, ensuring robust cash control and credit risk management for the business to maintain sufficient liquidity to meet operational needs and support growth initiatives• Proactively identify profit, income, and margin improvement opportunities across all areas of the business• Collaborate with various operational teams to identify opportunities and mitigate risks to achieve annual financial targets• Implement cost-saving measures to increase profitability and continually optimise the finance operation to adapt to changing conditions• Develop professional relationships with our clients’ finance counterparts and their teams• Ensure financial systems, IT, and internal controls are efficient, up-to-date, and fit for purpose• Undertake investment analysis and financial due diligence to support Capex and other business projects• Act as the main point of contact for internal and statutory audits• Oversee compliance with HK China and international tax, duty, VAT, insurance and financial regulations, using external advisors where required• Monitor, analyse and optimise revenue and pricing terms, supply chain and logistics costs to enhance profitability• Establish and track financial and operational performance metrics to evaluate and continuously improve business processes• Frequent travel to PRC is requiredPlease apply in writing, including an up-to-date CV to Ringo Wong, Managing Director ( ringowong@williams-hongkong.com )
